Despite being fascinated by mountains from an early age, it took until I was 19 before I was really introduced to mountaineering. In 1992, I went to New Zealand for an exchange year, where I climbed my first mountain by climbing Mount Ruapehu (2797m). Since then, many all other climbs have passed in review and I have devoted myself to other facets of mountaineering, such as rock climbing and trail running. With Manaslu, I hope to fulfil my next dream of climbing an 8000m mountain.

Trailrunning
What once started as training for the expedition to Aconcagua has slowly but surely grown as a passion on its own. On a regular basis you can find me at a local race in the Ardennes, and a few times a year I try to do a race abroad. Here is a brief overview of the best races I have run.
