With this expedition, I also want to join my shoulders in a good cause. Through this website, I would like to raise money for Shangrila Home. A Belgian non-profit organisation with a shelter in Nepal. I got to know this beautiful project on my previous climb in Nepal, and it seemed like a bonus to combine my climb with this cause.
The shelter Shangrila Home, the first and largest project of Shangrila Home vzw, was founded in 1995 by Inge Bracke and Paul Jacobs. This project provides a permanent home for more than 80 children until they can stand on their own two feet or until they can be taken back by their families. They receive everything needed for a child to grow up healthy: a safe roof over their head, healthy food, education, healthcare and lots of attention and love.The shelter is located in Gokarna about 10 km outside Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
