Beyers / Sucafina

Over 6 years ago, I started my job as "Production Application Engieer" at Beyers Koffie. It was Beyers who had approached me to make a transition from independent consultant to permanent hire. I can guarantee that these were conversations that took a long time, but in the end we came out of it. To be perfectly honest, for me it felt like an opportunity with a nice challenge, and I felt that Beyers' management felt the same way about me. The fact that we signed the contract over a nice meal over dinner does say it all, I suspect they don't do this for every work force.

During those six years, then, we built a good relationship, including with the Sucafina group above Beyers. It was after the TDS trail run in 2022 that I swapped my trail shoes for naughty shoes and contacted the CEO Tamari Nicolas about my achievements and future ambitions. It therefore gave me great pleasure to be able to speak to Nicolas in Puurs shortly afterwards and dream further about my 8000m ambitions. It is incredible to work for a company that supports its staff in personal challenges. In collaboration with them, it was therefore decided to use this expedition to highlight a good cause. Together with beyers/sucafina, their partners and all colleagues, we will hopefully raise a nice amount for Shangrila Home.

Beyers: more than 250 years of coffee expertise

Beyers has been taking coffee to the next level since it was founded in Antwerp in 1880 - more than 140 years ago.

Did you know that some parts of our company even date back to 1769? That's the year our Dutch branch first opened. Back then, we were known for selling coffee and tea. Together, we can proudly look back on a heritage that spans 250 years of coffee trading.

Today, Beyers - as part of the Sucafina Group - has become Belgium's largest coffee roaster and a key player in the European private label coffee market. As a true one-stop shop, we strive to deliver excellent quality.

At our production facility in Puurs-Sint-Amands (Belgium), we produce a wide range of coffee products for our customers: beans, roasted and ground coffee, pads and a wide variety of capsules.
